Bangor travel to face Limavady United at the Limavady Showgrounds on Tuesday evening in search of their first Premiership win of the season. The Seasiders are 11th in the table with just two points from their opening six matches.

Recent form

Lee Feeney's side earned a hard-fought point away to Glentoran last time out, with Lewis Francis scoring a 38th-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw. That result halted a run of three consecutive defeats, which included losses to Larne, Carrick Rangers and Dungannon Swifts. Bangor's defence has been a concern, conceding 13 goals so far, the second-highest total in the division.

Their hosts, Limavady United, have also struggled for results. They have not won a league match since April and are coming off a 2-0 home defeat to Linfield at the end of August. Manager Paul Owens will be demanding a response from his squad.

Team news

Bangor are expected to field a similar side to the one that started against Glentoran. Goalkeeper Paul Solis Grogan will be protected by a back line including Ryan Neale and the goalscorer from the weekend, Lewis Francis. The midfield trio of Liam Hassin, Thomas Mulvenna and Scott McCullough will be tasked with controlling the tempo.

For Limavady, the experienced pair of Paul Lowry and Stephen Lowry are likely to anchor the midfield, with Andrew Gaston and Jamie McGonigle providing the attacking threat. The full squad lists for both teams are available on our squad page.

The challenge ahead

This fixture represents a significant opportunity for Bangor to climb off the bottom of the standings. The team's next assignment is a home match against seventh-placed Crusaders on 7 November.
