Lewis Francis's header earned Bangor a valuable point in a 1-1 draw away to Glentoran at the Oval. The result keeps the Seasiders' recent form steady as they continue their Premiership campaign.

Francis found the net in the 38th minute, converting after a MacKenzie Strachan corner was headed on by both Harry Lynch and Tiarnan Mulvenna. Glentoran levelled in the 56th minute through James Douglas, whose long-range effort took a decisive deflection off Patrick Solis Grogan. The home side had earlier seen a Douglas shot strike the woodwork.

Bangor manager Lee Feeney highlighted his team's resilience after the final whistle. "Glentoran got their goal at a good time, but we displayed a lot of character to hang on and get something out of the game," he said. The point is Bangor's second draw in their last three league outings, following a 2-2 result with Ballymena United earlier this month.

The draw leaves Bangor 11th in the Premiership table with two points from seven matches. Their recent form reads LDLDL, with the team conceding 16 goals while scoring just four so far this season.

For Glentoran, the result extends a difficult run. They have now failed to win in three consecutive matches, prompting audible frustration from their supporters at full-time. First-team coach Tim McCann acknowledged the mood. "The fans have every right to boo," he said.

Attention now turns to a key home fixture for Bangor this Friday. They host Portadown, who sit one place below them in 12th, at their Clandeboye Park ground. A full rundown of the upcoming schedule is on our fixtures page.
